As usual [absolute value of V] = n and [absolute value of E] = q denote the number of vertices and edges of the graph G, respectively. Similarly, the open neighborhood of a set S [subset or equal to] V is the set N[S] = [[universal].sub.v[member of]S] N(v), and its closed neighborhood is N( S) = N(S) [union] S.
